Job Description
Summary
The Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology & Oncology, is seeking a Coordinator, Patient Support Services to provide essential administrative and operational support that ensures smooth delivery of clinical services. This role assists with scheduling workflows, facilitates communication across clinical and administrative teams, and oversees documentation and referral processes to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
Job Duties
- Coordinates scheduling, inpatient workflows, and daily operational activities.
- Reviews referral data to ensure seamless patient experience.
- Provides physicians, supervisors, and clinic leaders with administrative support.
- Collaborates across departments, clinics, and institutional partners to ensure aligned communication and service coordination.
- Collaborates with colleagues, physicians, clinical staff, administrative teams, and external healthcare partners to ensure consistent communication and seamless clinical and clinic‑support operations.
- Orders materials and clinical supplies as needed.
- Assists with tasks that ensure seamless hand-offs between clinical teams, admin teams, and partnering departments.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Credentialing experience.
- Experience creating clinical reports.
- Prior administrative or program coordinator experience.
- A relevant degree may be considered in lieu of experience.
