Lincoln Memorial University College of Dental Medicine Community Care Clinics are seeking a highly motivated, professional, friendly, patient-driven Dental Assistant to join our practice! The ideal candidate is a confident, strong communicator who is well-organized and can multi-task while ensuring high-quality care is given to the patient. A good understanding of systems while exhibiting flexibility is essential. The candidate must effectively develop a strong working relationship with the dentist and dental faculty while promoting teamwork. This role is vitally important in maintaining the highest level of dental care provided to our valued patients.
Required Qualifications
. Two years of dental assisting experience is required.

. Possesses a working knowledge of dentistry that assists the doctor and clinical team to explain treatment methods to patients.

. Oversees the scheduler to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly schedules are efficient, and appointments are scheduled promptly by following guidelines of block scheduling.

. Maintains and monitors the accuracy of Fuse data.
Job Duty
. Efficiently and effectively maintains and monitors daily, weekly, and monthly progress on production/collection goals to streamline operations.

. Confirms patient appointments for the next day.

. Monitors text and email communication systems periodically throughout the day.
Job Duty
. Manages all financial arrangements with patients and cash flow for the practice through collections via the patient or insurance company.

. Must be comfortable discussing financial arrangements with patients.

. Manages team accounts receivable.

. Ensures all patients leave with a signed treatment plan before scheduling the next appointment.

. Ensures the accuracy of the daily deposit by balancing all monies and credit cards and placing them in the safe before the end of each day.

. Maximizes payment for procedures daily via payment on the day of service.

. Files all dental/medical insurance and maximizes insurance benefits for patients.

. Regularly monitors delinquent recall appointments and reactivates inactive patients by following the current protocols.

. Displays a keen ability to multi-task well, a self-starter who consistently takes the initiative independent of what is required.

. Assumes the role of the primary patient marketer of the individual practice, is competent with internal marketing concepts, and is comfortable with being the face of the practice.

. Is comfortable speaking with people by presenting a warm, confident, compassionate, professional appearance and demeanor, whether on the phone or in person.

. Exemplifies a caring attitude, cheerful and eager to help.

. Ensures practice compliance with all OSHA and HIPAA regulations.

. Ensures compliance with any other necessary duties by practice protocols or supervisor.

. Respond to patient queries and inquiries to ensure patient satisfaction.

. Train, develop, and manage scheduling and front desk staff to meet performance standards.

. Organize and oversee supply purchases and operating expenses.

. Run and analyze practice management reports.
