Registered Nurse - House Supervisor PRN

The RN House Supervisor is responsible for coordinating nursing care to ensure optimum patient outcomes. They plan, direct, and evaluate overall nursing care, overseeing the activities of nursing units and making staffing assignments. The role involves monitoring and educating nursing staff, as well as responding to emergency situations as necessary. The RN House Supervisor is committed to practicing within the defined scope of practice for the Registered Nurse and providing safe, quality nursing care.

The successful candidate:

  • Coordinate nursing care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

  • Plan, direct, and evaluate overall nursing care in alignment with organizational goals and standards.

  • Coordinate activities of nursing units, including making staffing assignments and ensuring adequate coverage.

  • Monitor and educate nursing staff, providing timely and appropriate feedback for development.

  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, ensuring patient safety and well-being.

  • Advocate for patient care needs and prioritize care based on available resources.

  • Delegate tasks and duties appropriately, ensuring efficient functioning of the healthcare team.

  • Assist in completing staff schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels for patient care.

  • Establish goals and objectives for nursing care, anticipate problems, and implement plans for resolution.

  • Investigate standards of care and oversee performance improvement initiatives related to nursing.

  • Maintain documentation and statistics related to nursing care and performance.

  • Serve as a clinical resource, utilizing evidence-based practices and the nursing process.

  • Identify and respond to emergency situations, serving as a liaison with administration and other departments.

  • Perform duties as the Safety Officer/Employee Health nurse as needed.

  • Must be able to work PRN Nights 7p-7a; one night per week with some weekend nights as required.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Current GA Registered Nurse licensure required

  • BSN required or enrolled into a BSN program within 6 months of hire and completed within 3 years

  • Current BLS required (Obtain AHA certificate within 30 days of hire)

  • Current ACLS required (Obtain AHA certificate within 30 days of hire)

  • Strong background in medical/surgical care and/or intensive care procedures

  • ICU and/or IMCU experience highly preferred

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $36.72 - $60.47 / hour
