The Medical College of Georgia is one of the nation's largest medical schools by class size, with 260 students per class.
The educational experience is anchored by the main campus in Augusta, regional clinical campuses for third- and fourth-year students across the state and a second four-year campus in Athens in partnership with the University of Georgia. MCG's expanding partnerships with physicians and hospitals across Georgia currently provides about 350 sites where students can experience the full spectrum of medicine, from complex care hospitals to small-town solo practices.
MCG and its teaching hospitals also provide postgraduate education to more than 500 residents and fellows in 50 different Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-approved programs. Our researchers and clinicians focus on what most impacts the health of Georgia's and America's children and adults, including cardiovascular biology and disease, cancer, neurosciences and behavioral sciences, public and preventive health, regenerative and reparative medicine, personalized medicine and genomics.
Our physician faculty also share their expertise with physicians and patients at about 100 clinics and hospitals statewide.
Job Summary
Implement MCG Center for Telehealth (MCGCTH) standardized project methodology and templates to plan and manage a variety of large, complex, university-wide, and enterprise-level projects, incorporating rural county outreach simultaneously. Create and execute project charters and project management plans (scope statement, deliverables, budget management plan, project budget, organizational charts and/or team charters, issue management plan, work breakdown structure, resource allocations, project schedule, vendor management plan, project training plan, project communications plan, project change management, etc. and review as appropriate with project leadership to meet changing needs and requirements. Facilitate overall project assessment. Identify, negotiate, and ensure adequate resources are available and allocated to projects by working with the MCGCTH Director/Service Chief, Assistant VP of Virtual Care and Community Engagement, Administrator.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
Support MCGCTH Leadership Projects: Provide project support to Center Leadership related to all Virtual Care Programs spanning across Education, Research, and Clinical (Tele-ED, Tele-Critical Care, Tele-Hospitalist, Tele-Stroke, Hospital@Home, OBS@Home, Ambulatory Outreach Clinics, Post-Admit@Home, Enhanced Monitoring@Home, E-Consults, D2C Urgent Care, Chronic Disease@Home, Re-Productive Medicine D2C). Focusing on projects that will bring in additional funding through grants, affiliations, etc.
Team Lead: Coordinate and lead team meetings working closely with project leadership. Ensure members are presented with current information on the status of all current projects by executing the project communication plan (providing oral and /or written status reports, team lead and team member project schedule task reports, etc.). By following MCGCTH's project management checklist and procedures, help guide team members and team leaders through MCGCTH's project management process. When needed, engage team on project management best practices and techniques to team members and team leaders.
Maintain Schedule: Maintain master schedules, project expenditures (maintaining financial oversite of the project - P-card), perform project status analysis and ensure project documentation is complete, current, and stored in the Project Management System (tracking task completion for individual projects and document all project activities and accomplishments), anticipate projects managing the prioritization and scheduling efforts.
Data Analysis: Extract patterns, trends, and actionable information from large sets of data. Will be primarily responsible for ensuring the integrity of system data and turning data into information using various reporting tools (Tableau, Qualtrics, FileMaker Pro, D2L). Will mine data from various sources available and manage database table structure, produce reports, and respond to administrative data requests.
Other: Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field of study with a minimum of 3 years' experience managing projects of various sizes and complexity.
Preferred Qualifications
Project management experience in an academic or hospital/clinical setting; Institutional knowledge or experience in higher education with the variety of types of projects that serve the educational, research, and service missions.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; customer service skills; and organizational skills.
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines despite often interruptions, maintain confidentiality, keep accurate records and make independent decisions.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; Monday - Friday (Work outside of normal business hours may be required)
Pay Grade: 17
Salary: Minimum: $44,967/annually Midpoint:$60,705/annually.
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
