What You Will Achieve
This role focuses on research biology operations support in several areas: sourcing management of HTS/invitro biology, safety pharmacology support, and integration of Pfizer tools for biology support to enable workflows from CROs/academics/biotech partners to Pfizer. This role will support the External Research Solutions (ERS) team in different initiatives on ERS biology operations.
How You Will Achieve It
Responsible to support tasks related to biology/DSRD research operations for ERS.
Support of operational tasks including sourcing of commercial/custom platform assays and setting up sample logistics process and managing specific sourcing requests.
Support of biology sourcing on (FTE, FFS) and budget tracking · Support the management of logistics associated with biology sourcing activities from order to final delivery.
Support generation of reports/metrics tracking for work being done at CROs, and spend reports by line/RU for biology · Supports ERS business (sourcing/working with CRO/communication/continuous improvements)
Familiar with import/export regulations and SOPs for shipments for biologics and reagent provisions
Work with minimal day-to-day supervision
Support development of tools to improve own tasks
Support ERS initiatives or work with teams (internal and CRO) to enable workflow for biology sourcing support.
Can contribute independently to ERS initiatives; May receive input from team and/or manager as needed
Qualifications
Must-Have
Bachelor's Degree with a strong biology background required
Knowledge in safety pharmacology data analytics.
Knowledge in Biology data analysis and assay inventory tools like Bioloader/Activity Base/CART, etc.
Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organization
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Prior experience managing timelines and deliverables for key project or initiatives
Customer focused and solution oriented and adaptable to new processes, responsibilities and organization changes.
Must be organized and be able to multi-task for different initiatives.
Strong computer skills, familiar with tools such as MS sharepoint/teams, Excel, MS applications
Nice-to-Have
Knowledge in biology assays and technologies.
Sourcing experience preferred.
Experience with Pfizer specific tools like GePR, Abase, D360, PCAT, CART, Mattrack, tools related to biology sourcing management.
Biology technical skills related to drug discovery.
Some experience on outsourcing and interacting with external vendors
Familiarity with chemistry/biology or integrated service sourcing

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $59,200.00 to $98,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
