Job Description
The Manager, Digital Communications will manage strategic digital communication efforts to shape the conversation around cutting edge science and drive innovative employee engagement via external channels. They will lead on creative, strategy, and project management for external digital communications and high-level content partnerships, including external video partnerships. This individual will also be responsible for creative, strategy, and project management for external digital communications from multiple therapeutic areas and business units, including broader Pfizer initiatives around our Reputation Communications and our Colleague Resource Groups.
This goal for this position will be to build networks of internal and external advocates interested in leading the conversation and helping tell the stories of our scientific innovations and the communities that benefit from them in an effort to build trust with our followers. In close collaboration with Corporate Affairs team, they will work across the global enterprise to increase employee advocacy, leveraging data insights to show the value of boosting brand equity through content sharing. Through their content strategies, they will strive to empower colleagues to proactively advocate for Pfizer's leadership in science and innovation.
The position reports to the Senior Director, Digital Communications, Corporate Affairs and is based at the Company headquarters in New York City.
Responsibilities
Collaborating with communications leads to set objectives, mobilize colleague engagement, and execute strategies to shape content driven by Pfizer colleagues. Develop creative concepts using content marketing and colleague engagement to position Pfizer as an industry disruptor that inspires scientific innovation, focuses on patients, and shows support for employees.
Specifically, the role will:
Lead high-level video & content partnerships across Corporate Affairs, including but not limited to creative ideation, producing, copywriting, project management, and execution
Develop and implement external digital strategy and content creation across Pfizer's corporate social channels, serving as digital content lead across various initiatives
Advise on best practices for distribution strategies across social channels
Serve as an educator around digital strategy, social media channels, emerging platforms, best practices, and external strategy & digital content plans for executives
Operate as a digital subject matter expert when partnering with Pfizer’s therapeutic and functional businesses to help define objectives to meet goals
Collaborate with global digital leads to cross-promote content, share best practices, and create guidelines and processes for better platform performance and sustainability
Train leadership and colleagues on enhancing their social media brand and position themselves as key opinion leaders
Maintain constant pulse on digital events, identifying trends, threats and opportunities to help drive strategy
Evaluate KPIs and leverage benchmarks to drive performance indicators, determine platform purpose, evolution, and content creation
Qualifications
Must-Have
Bachelor's Degree(or equivalent) and 5+ years ofrelated experience
Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing insight-driven, strategicand measurable digital content and communications programs
Excellent presentation skills and persuasiveness are mandatory.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate success in a fast-paced, high-exposure and highly collaborative environment.
Discipline in time management and precision in the execution of duties – from content creation to delivery – are especially important, given the largely deadline driven, highly visible nature of the work.
Vast knowledge of platforms for listening and monitoring social media conversations is essential to succeeding in this role.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Nice-to-Have
Master's degree and relevant pharmaceutical experience.
Project management skills/experience.
Strong public speaking and media relations skills.
Possesses a positive, continuous improvement mindset.

Work Location Assignment: Flexible (required to be in office 2 -3 days a week) to work from assigned Pfizer office 2-3 days per week, or as needed by the business.
