Job Description

Summary

This position provides with day-to-day activities of clinical trials. Many of these duties will include assisting with monitoring of research participants, enrollment, screening, specimen processing, and scheduling study visit. Responsibilities require flexibility and detail oriented individual to work closely with senior research staff. 

Job Duties

  • Collects initial patient intake information.
  • Collects, process, ship, and maintain paperwork for blood and/or biological specimens according to procedures outlined in study protocol.
  • Scheduling of research/study participants.
  • Enters and maintains data for review and submission to study sponsors.
  • Screens and recruits patients for participation in clinical trials.
  • Plan and schedule upcoming research visits for study subjects, according to protocol requirements.
  • Schedule research participant for tests and procedures such as laboratory tests, imaging, and other studies specific for the research protocol. Retrieve and submit test results to appropriate party.
  • Assist with data collection and reporting of Serious Adverse Events to appropriate regulatory agencies and sponsors.
  • May correspond with patient throughout study. 
  • Order supplies and equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Research experience preferred but not required.
  • Requires interpersonal skills necessary to coordinate research studies and interact with staff and physicians.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
