What Your Job Will Be Like: We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to design, develop and support high assurance electronic products. Your daily roles and responsibilities will involve: + Playing a key role in development, maturation, and deployment of advanced technologies for next- generation weapon systems and support equipment + Coordinating with a group of electrical and mechanical engineers in the design and qualification of electrical components and making technical decisions on the direction of the designs + Designing of ASIC based digital/analog circuits + Collaborating with and advising technologists’ work in a lab environment Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite. Qualifications We Require: + Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or relevant field plus five years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience + Ability to acquire a DOE Q level security clearance Qualifications We Desire: + Design experience in both analog and digital circuits + Experience with at least one electrical software tools such as VHDL, Mentor Graphics, ORCAD, Altium Designer, Cadence PSPICE, etc. + Experience in production of electronic components + Nuclear Weapon and/or Use Control design experience + Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams + Experience in VHDL, Verilog, C, C++, or custom ASIC design + Design for manufacturing experience + Familiarity with COMSEC and Controlled Cryptographic Information + Qualification testing and documentation experience About Our Team: The Surety Electronics Department utilizes current and advanced electronic hardware approaches, tools, and techniques in developing information assurance subsystems for Nuclear Weapons. These responsibilities span research, design, development, production liaison, and existing product evaluation for Use Control Applications. Staff in this department develop custom electronic technologies in support of the DOE/DoD Use Control community and specialize in real-time embedded electronic design solutions with emphasis on security and reliability. The department also has a key role in the development, maturation, and deployment of advanced technologies for next-generation weapon systems and information assurance products.
