We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Internal Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) Lead to join our DEIA Office. Reporting directly to the DEIA Manager, the Internal DEIA Lead will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of our DEIA initiatives. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to develop and execute our DEIA plan, manage projects, and build partnerships with Employee Resource Groups and DEIA Councils. This is a dynamic role that requires a strong background in DEIA and exceptional project management skills.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement the Laboratory's DEIA plan, ensuring alignment with organizational expectations.
Drive the achievement of DEIA goals through effective program management, including defining project plans and overseeing implementation activities.
Develop and establish necessary processes, documentation, and communications to facilitate the successful rollout and ongoing support of DEIA projects.
Foster trusted partnerships with Employee Resource Groups and DEIA Councils, leveraging their insights and contributions to meet objectives.
Stay informed about industry best practices and trends in DEIA, integrating them into our initiatives to continually enhance our approach.
Bachelor's degree required; DEIA professional certification is preferred.
A minimum of 4 years of experience , demonstrating a strong understanding of DEIA principles and practices.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, in alignment with our Core Values (Respect, Integrity, Safety, Impact, and Teamwork).
Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities, with a proven track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams.
Skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to successful completion under guidance of project management professionals.
Competency in valuing and appreciating differences, including those related to race, culture, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, national origin, religion, veteran status, research discipline, level of education, and academic affiliation, while actively mitigating the effects of bias.
