Job Description

Summary

The Department of Surgery's Aortic Disease Research Laboratory at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a staff scientist to study the molecular mechanisms of vascular injury, repair and remodeling during aortic disease development. State-of-the-art techniques and advanced animal models are used in our investigations.

Job Duties

  • Execute research studies: planning and conducting experiments, analyzing data, documenting results.
  • Developresearch techniques for research projects.
  • Write manuscripts and present work at meetings.
  • Help postdoc and pre-doc fellows in the lab with planning and conducting experiments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctoral Degree. Experience may not be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Three years of post doctoral research experience.
