The Department of Chemistry at Columbia University invites applications for an Associate Research Scientist with an expertise in electrochemical modeling and computer simulation. The position will begin as early as June 24, 2023, with the possibility of renewal, subject to work eligibility and the usual standards for satisfactory performance and the availability of funding. The successful candidate will have experience in quantum chemical calculations, molecular dynamics simulations, and modeling electrochemical phenomena. This position requires collaboration between academic research and industrial research and will provide support and opportunities for research careers in industry.

Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications: Research emphasis with at least 1-5 years of relevant experience in chemistry, material science, physics, or engineering. Post- doctoral experience, expertise in computer programming, strong data analysis and interpretation skills, excellent communication skills in oral and written English, ability to work independently as well as part of a team, flexibility to interact with a diverse group of researchers, and a willingness and ability to train students with diverse backgrounds.
