Job Description
The ICU Education Specialist represents and supports the mission, philosophy and goals of the Cancer
Center. Responsible for promoting quality patient care through expert practice, staff development,
consultation and research. The ICU Education Specialist serves as a role model, consultant, change
agent and facilitator in assessing learning needs and in planning, implementing, and evaluating
educational activities for the Inpatient Intensive Care Unit. The ICU Education Specialist exhibits the
ability to organize and plan work activities, make independent decisions, and accept and delegate
responsibility.
Minimum Education
Master's Degree Nursing or Nursing Education
Minimum Required :
Registered Nurse (RN)
Minimum Experience Required
Three years of relevant ICU nursing experience.
Preferred Experience
Five years of ICU nursing, ACL certified, National Specialty Certification
