Data analytics, cancer experience

As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for identifying patients that need to be submitted to both the state and national level for legal compliance. Data Analysts also assist with ad hoc data requests for administrative, operational and research purposes.

*This is a Remote position, but this person must live in Ohio

Responsibilities:

  • Assists assigned department and leadership in obtaining information from various systems.
  • Establishes and maintains detailed knowledge and documentation of all databases within the assigned department.
  • Analyzes database and provide timely response to customer requests.
  • Provides database research and assist other analyst in completing requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Master's or other advance degree preferred.

Certifications:

  • None required.

Complexity of Work:

  • Requires analytical, organizational and project management skills with an ability to conduct complex analysis.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

Work Experience:

  • Three years professional analytical experience.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience with multiple software package, including Microsoft Office, SQL, Visual Basic, and others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oncology experience
  • Epic experience
  • Microsoft Excel experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
  • In some locations, ability to move up to 25 pounds

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
