What You Will Achieve

Working with Pfizer’s dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical part in providing technical or business support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Your documentation skills will come in handy to prepare engineering documentation, reports and drawings. You will be conducting preliminary analysis of trajectory adequacy data, model dimensional consistency and quantitative judgements concerning technical data. You will also support the team by conducting tests and recording data to assist engineering evaluations.

You will be recognized as a subject matter expert with specialized knowledge and skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and equipment. You will be entrusted with adapting standard methods and procedures by applying your knowledge, prior work experience and requirements. Your business awareness of cross-organizational impact on project delivery will elevate the quality of project deliverables. You will recommend the methods and procedures that are the best fit for different work situations.

You will train others and reinforce behaviors that will help us achieve our goal of providing the best healthcare to our patients.

Teaming with other members of their Maintenance and Partner organizations, the Engineering Enabler creates efficient preventive and corrective work order plans and schedules which focus on required resources (labor, material, special tools, diagrams, sketches, work procedures, regulatory procedures, permit identification, etc) so that Maintenance jobs can efficiently take place. The Maintenance Enabler plans all future related work; develops schedules of upcoming work in the near and long term future.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Work on generating validation or qualification documents and execution of qualification activities.

  • Prepare and maintain Engineering Drawings in support of Operations, Project Engineering, Process Engineering, Environment, Health & Safety (local applications), Quality, Validations and Maintenance Shop.

  • Perform tasks as conveyed by division's department managers and director.

  • Manage own time, professional development and be accountable for results.

  • Prioritize own workflow, may allocate work to others and assist in establishing their priorities.

  • Responsible for providing performance assessment inputs on team members.

  • The Enabler processes maintenance resources with production requirements and develops weekly and future work schedules that balance and level Maintenance workloads in order to optimize labor utilization and internal production needs. The Engineering Enabler issues a variety of computer based Planning and Scheduling informational and effectiveness reports for Maintenance Teams and customers.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • A minimum of HS Diploma and 5 years of Journeyman level experience in an appropriate core-craft or a minimum of an Associate's Degree in a technical or business-related field with a minimum of 5 – 7 years' experience working within an Engineering, Maintenance, Utilities enabling environment or equivalent, and/or training with heavy focus on computer and software systems

  • Behavioral strengths in initiative, self-motivation, judgment, and planning / organization. Demonstrated personal trustworthiness, courtesy, cooperation and flexibility in working, interacting and communicating with diverse individuals/groups and ability to develop and maintain effective, trusting work and customer relationships.

  • Advanced computer and software skills are essential to be successful in this position.

Nice-to-Have

  • Understanding of cleaning / steaming processes of the equipment used in the Biopharma manufacturing

  

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Physical Demands: standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting / lowering up to 50 lbs. Desk/ computer work for 50 % plus of time.

Work Environment: Colleague may be frequently required to enter production or laboratory areas. Area safety precautions and requirements must be adhered to including gowning requirements.
