POSITION SUMMARY

  • Responsible for the assigned Territory
  • Achieve the revenue targets for Oncology portfolio
  • Lead Pfizer representation, both within and outside Pfizer, for the assigned Territory
  • Accountable for the delivery of the full P&L of Oncology category in Algeria
  • Leads and coaches the sales team to implement business strategies/tactics to achieve revenue targets
  • Responsible for recruitment, training, development and performance management. Ensure that the team is equipped with the knowledge and skills to perform and execute effectively
  • Ensures that all activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and SOPs, Pfizer values, and global guidelines (including MAPP, FCPA), as appropriate.
  • Shape the culture of performance, empowerment, accountability, innovation, customer focus and execution

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve/exceed the annual revenue budget/target
  • Develop and implement Business/Customer/Account plans for achieving sales goals in line with Algeria business objectives and in line with cluster, region and global directions. Ensure objectives and process are implemented flawlessly down/up the organization
  • Sets strategic long-term vision for Pfizer in the Oncology category; obtain stakeholder and leadership buy-in and colleague engagement
  • Ensure implementation of therapeutic area brand positioning in coordination and consultation with marketing and medical colleagues. Provide guidance and direction to marketing team to drive category portfolio management. Drives execution of campaigns, PoAs, tactics and customer plans.
  • Proactively manage opportunities / potential risks in order to minimize downsides and maximize upsides variances from the revenue targets
  • Effective & efficient allocation of resources to achieve the revenue budget. Achieve the optimum size, structure and geographical deployment of the sales force to accomplish Pfizer sales & profitability objectives. Monitor & manage all sales expenditures and budget in line with the approved budget. Take corrective actions where required. Optimizes the profitability of the category by making active trade-off and resource allocation decisions.
  • Responsible for submitting the Territory annual & revised sales forecast, budget & best estimate of Pfizer for assigned portfolio
  • Collaborate with dedicated colleague to manage distributors / 3rd parties
  • Participate with medical & regulatory managers along with commercial team in the planning and strategies of new products introduction/registration and follow on its launch activities ensuring timelines
  • Leads and coaches a high performing team and develop colleagues in line with the Pfizer competency models. Participate in training & development of individuals who can advance to more responsible positions in accordance with Pfizer career and talent development programs
  • Responsible for enhancement of team engagement and collaboration with peers and directors to implement agreed upon plan of action
  • Performance management –– ensure objectives, Growth conversations, reviews for all direct reports, maintaining quality and timeliness of content. Reviews, designs and monitors the effectiveness of the Sales Team through KPIs
  • Develops strategies unique to the needs of the category to maximize the patient impact and the revenue for Pfizer
  • Build & maintain professional long-term relationship with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and Institutions to ensure better understanding and positioning of Pfizer products and overall enhancement of customer’s needs and satisfaction
  • Actively participate in assigned key strategic projects.
  • Collaboration and partnership with strategic partners in Pfizer to ensure services for the category are met
  • Ensures high standards of compliance to norms, policies, and procedures and instills a proactive compliance risk management culture throughout his/her direct team and the x-functional organization
  • Role models Pfizer breakthrough values with visible and inspirational leadership focused on compliance and integrity
  • A key member of the country leadership team contributing to the overall success of Pfizer in the country

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Report to the Algeria Country Manager
  • Lead thesales team for the category
  • Lead, coach and collaborate with the marketing team
  • Work in close collaboration with AfME RTAL’s, Medical Affairs, Commercial Team, H&V, StratCO, BAI, PGS and Finance

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in science and Healthcare is required, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Min 10 years of diverse commercial experience & at leadership team level
  • Leading high performing teams by winning in the right way
  • P&L management and financial acumen
  • Fluent written and spoken English, French and Arabic
