Job Description
MAIN REPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
This Role is to promote assigned medicines in our Inflammation and Immunology portfolio to all Stakeholders in the Secondary Care environment. You will be accountable for the Sales Performance for the agreed product portfolio in your assigned accounts (South Leinster Region). The Health Representative connects, supports and educates HCPs on our products through both physical and virtual meetings. A high level of knowledge of the healthcare setting is essential. You will ensure the promotion of Pfizer and all products are within the standards of practice according to IPHA regulations.
Product Promotion & Sales
To be accountable for the Sales Performance for the agreed product portfolio in your assigned accounts.
To create an environment that ensures maximum access, uptake, and enhanced patient experience of Pfizer products.
Promote the portfolio to maximize the growth potential using all the resources available within the business and the cross functional team.
Ensure promotion of Pfizer and all products are within the standards of practice according to IPHA regulations, SI541, and all local guidelines on account specific regulations.
Optimize product and disease knowledge on an ongoing basis to ensure maximum customer and product value in all one to one and group interactions.
Customer Relations.
Facilitate new and existing commercial relationships with all Key Account Stakeholders to protect and develop the brand specific growth potential.
Planning and Management
Diagnosis of situation of territory e.g. politics, local initiatives leading to subsequent design and implementation of territory action plan, including plans for all ‘Key Accounts’.
Engage with all internal resources to ensure development and management of all accounts.
Generate new opportunities for growth for all brands by understanding and developing on stakeholder current and future needs.
Market Intelligence
Feedback to cross functional team on product and account performance.
Team working
Liaise with territory team members, cross functional teams and all customer facing staff to ensure delivery of activities and interactions meet the most professional standards.
To provide the cross functional team with the insight to develop initiatives to improve the patient experience of Pfizer medicines in your accounts
Ensure all customer and key account activities respect the local and national business needs of Pfizer.
Budget Management
Manage the local budget to deliver the best growth rates.
Identify, quantify and make a case for local tactical investment for additional growth in the portfolio on a case by case basis.
Self-Development
Proactively implement/update personal development plans in order to develop self further within current role or prepare for any future roles.
Ensure current medical, clinical and disease knowledge is of standard high enough to engage the customers in meaningful value added discussions on disease specific treatment options.
Administrative Systems
Ensure territory and administrative systems/processes are maintained and updated to ensure an accurate record of territory is available at all times.
Manage all administration systems in a timely and professional manner to the standards required by Pfizer Health Care Ireland.
Team Support
Support colleagues by ensuring appropriate knowledge and experience is shared to enhance understanding of territory, customers and products.
Ensure all intellectual and local access knowledge is maintained to ensure competitive advantage in all key accounts.
Ethics/Compliance
Ensure ethical promotion of Pfizer products in line with IPHA code,SI541 and local account specific guidelines.
Quality
Ensure compliance with all risk management, corporate and regulatory requirements as they apply to this function.
Respond to company requests for training, compliance and driver safety on time to the standard required.
REQUIRED SKILL SET
Degree level Qualified / or appropriate industry experience
Hospital Sales experience in Pharmaceuticals is preferred
Excellent verbal and presentation skills.
Ability to work in an agile environment and good knowledge of digital software systems- Teams/WebEX
Effective selling skills both one to one and in group presentations face to face and virtually
Effective working knowledge of primary and secondary care structures and relevant customer types
Preferable, In-depth promoted product knowledge, knowledge of relevant therapeutic/disease areas.
