What You Will Achieve

Working with Pfizer’s dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing information systems to improve manufacturing success rates and ensuring zero down time. You will integrate manufacturing, process operational knowledge, equipment control and data into systems, which enforces the sequence of operations across departments.

As an associate, your focus on the job will contribute in achieving project tasks and goals. Through your domain knowledge and commitment, you will create a collaborative team environment for your colleagues.

You will support the controls on process equipment that runs 24/7/365. You will make program changes to controllers, workstations, and databases and then verify them through computer validation. You will also troubleshoot any issues that arise during manufacturing and provide maintenance to the assigned systems.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Contribute to the completion of projects, manage own time on agreed targets, develop plans for own projects and leads small project teams.

  • Monitor, generate and complete the periodic review, validation master plan for the automation engineering program.

  • Demonstrate good planning, organizing, time management and team participation skills.

  • Responsible for routine and preventive maintenance work, ensure all the equipment and facilities work safely, efficiently and reliably.

  • Generate and develop standard operating procedures and system support.

  • Analyze operational process problems and recommend appropriate corrective and preventative actions.

  • Manage change control authoring and execution.

  • Participate in the site and network wide teams to provide cybersecurity alignment and direction.

  • Provide 24x7x365 support of our automation systems and perform automation activities for capital and non-capital projects.

  • Modify moderately complex to highly complex control logic that requires a degree of scientific and/or manufacturing process expertise.

  • Mentor and guide junior staff and serve as a technical trainer, whenever necessary.

  • Clearly communicate progress and issues to peers.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Applicant must have a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 6 years of relevant experience OR an Associates degree with 4 years of experience OR a Bachelors degree with 0+ years of experience.

  • Experience with programming industrial control systems such as Recipe development, Batch, PLCs, SCADA systems, Historians, SQL Server.

  • Experience with writing software test plans, user requirements, and system design documents

  • Familiar with process controls equipment.

  • Knowledge of Computerized Systems, Compliance regulations and standards.

  • Teamwork spirit, good communication skills and training abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills {written and oral}.

  • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to change.

Nice-to-Have

  • Technical troubleshooting experience within tight timelines.

  • Relevant pharmaceutical experience.

  • Understanding of programming, and proficiency in at least one language.

  • Pharmaceutical industry engineering experience.

  
 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Office and plant environment. Keyboarding, lifting, standing, bending, walking

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Weekend and off hours work required, some overtime.

  • Supporting 24/7 operations.

  • Some on call coverage.

  • Hiring all shift positions. Adhere to safe work practices.

  • Some travel.
