Job Description
The Enterprise Software Solutions department at Argonne National Laboratory invites you to join our team in a learning and collaborative environment. We are responsible for supporting the Laboratory’s enterprise software to further the science and technology mission of the laboratory.
We are seeking a development manager for our Integrations, Commercial, and Support software group. This group has a wide variety of responsibilities including developing integrations between applications, managing our commercial software portfolio, and supporting the software systems in our production environment.
While there will be many opportunities to learn and grow in this role, the successful candidate will be passionate about technology; you have worked as a developer and have successfully demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage a small team of developers. You must be comfortable working alongside business partners, architects, and product owners to deliver high quality solutions to a broad set of challenges.

This position is expected to be performed in a hybrid-work environment (combination of on-site and remote); however, fully remote work is an option.
Position Requirements
Your level of experience in the required skills should be consistent with your years of experience in software development, leadership, and management
Required Technical Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in software development (or similar) and 12+ years of software development experience
- Minimum of 2-5 years of management or leadership experience
- Experience with SQL and data manipulation and management
- Experience implementing data models and data flows in the context of data warehouse development.
- Knowledge and experience with current Microsoft SQL Server platform and tools.
- Knowledge of one or more development languages, with a strong preference for Java

Beneficial skills
Experience in any of these skills is advantageous to the position
- Experience implementing data models and data flows in the context of data warehouse development.
- Knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter and ETL techniques.
- Knowledge of Oracle database environments.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SSRS and Power BI.
- Experience with Git repositories
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Data platform
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methods
