Position Summary
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (UWL) http://www.uwlax.edu/Chemistry-and-Biochemistry/ anticipates hiring two dynamic teacher-scholars at the Assistant Professor level to join its top-rated program in August 2023. The department strives to maintain an inclusive and collegial working and learning environment for our faculty, staff, and students, and we welcome applicants who share our commitment to these values. Our new colleagues will teach lecture and laboratory courses in Organic and General Chemistry, along with advanced elective courses in their areas of expertise. We seek scholars to develop and maintain active, externally-funded research programs involving undergraduates. Laboratory research expertise is preferred, including interdisciplinary areas such as medicinal, food, green, polymer, nano, or environmental chemistry, pharmacology, chemical toxicology, chemical biology, or materials. Our department and college maintain a large array of modern instrumentation resources, including research and teaching laboratories in a new state-of-the-art Prairie Springs Science Center.

The positions carry the potential for additional compensation for participation in the maintenance of the department’s 400 MHz Bruker NMR spectrometer.
