NTRO Research Behavioral Treatment Specialist

H. The Research Behavioral Treatment Specialist works with research participants to conduct aspects of a behavioral treatment protocol which is supervised by the research investigator. The research participants may be patients, caregivers or community participants. This specialist is expected to follow the research protocol and implement the intervention.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete necessary training to meet competence to deliver behavioral treatment to participants. Trainings may include internal and external training experiences specific to the behavioral treatment to be delivered.
  • Meet with participants to provide behavioral treatment.
  • Provide behavioral treatment consistent with an established treatment manual.
  • Complete required research and regulatory related institutional training as applicable
  • Deliver treatment consistent with the goals of the larger study.
  • Document interactions with participants in accordance with OHRP and NTRO specific guidelines for human subjects work.
  • The role is an influences on future design of behavioral intervention therapies and program design.

 

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field to social work, psychology or counseling required, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with the participants population or similar treatment being provided as part of the protocol with Bachelor’s Degree, or Master’s degree in related field with no experience.
  • Preferred experience working with the participant population in a clinical setting. Experience administering the treatment that is being provided as part of the protocol.
  • Must have clear written and verbal communication skills and basic competence in various computer applications.
