Job Description

Position Highlights:

  • We are looking for an Agile Coach to cultivate Agile practices and values. Ideal Coach will be a strong practitioner with skills to educate and help mature Agile teams. The Coach will also work with leadership to increase team effectiveness and implement Agile principles.  Coach should have an extensive track record of introducing best practices, overcoming challenges and ensuring that the team has all necessary skills to make them successful.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Must possess a broad view of multiple business/business partner areas, is familiar with multiple products, services, and business processes, or can come up to speed quickly on new areas.

Credentials and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree** - Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technology field
  • Certified Scrum Master
    •     ** -OR- Associate’s degree with an additional two (2) years of relevant complex delivery and support of IT implementations experience plus the eight (8) years (for a total of 10 years) experience may be considered "in lieu" of a Bachelor’s degree.
    •     ** -OR- High School Diploma with an additional four (4) years of relevant complex delivery and support of IT implementations experience plus the eight (8) years (for a total of 12 years) experience may be considered "in lieu" of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of design, delivery and support of complex IT implementation experience, with a advanced knowledge of following technical disciplines: infrastructure, application development, applicable platforms (i.e. Scrum), and operations is required.
  •   - PLUS - Four (4) years of practical Scrum Master experience is required (may be inclusive of the overall experience).
  •   - PLUS - Two (2) years experience as team/project lead (cross-team coaching and/or leadership coaching), supervisor, and/or manager experience is required (may be inclusive of the overall experience).

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree - Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technology field
  • Advanced Certified ScrumMaster
  • Certified Scrum Professional – ScrumMaster
  • Preferred experience with leading process development around Agile technical practices - i.e. TDD
  • Advanced Scrum certification preferred.

Additional Skills/Specialized Training Required:

  • Experience in implementing agile techniques in different organizational cultures and environments
  • Required Certified Scrum Master
  • Expertise in agile practices
  • Experience in implementing agile techniques in different organizational cultures and environments
  • Has successfully run agile projects of varying size and complexity
  • Excellent verbal skills in small and large settings
  • Excellent written communication skills to all levels of the organization
  • Ability to be seen as an expert resource in the organization on agile delivery
  • Ability to work with stakeholders with varying interests and facilitate consent  towards shared solutions
  • Must possess a broad view of multiple business/business partner areas, is familiar with multiple products, services, and business processes, or can come up to speed quickly on new areas
  • Experience with tools supporting agile practices such as Atlassian Jira, TFS, Version One, etc.
  • Ability to keep up to date with business, technology and process trends and their implications to organization
  • Ability to form productive networks with internal and external customers, consultants and the vendor community
