Responsibilities
Identify, prepare and perform a variety of research experiments according to protocol. Projects and assignments are typically non-routine and variable in nature. Collect, interpret, and present data to Manager or Principal Investigator. Expected to advance in independence after appropriate training and time in the position.


Qualifications
BA/BS degree typically in one of the biological sciences. Degrees in physics, math, computer science, or chemistry or equivalent years of professional, paid, relevant laboratory experience will be considered. Should be familiar with lab techniques. Individuals with all levels of experience will be considered. Apply developing knowledge to coordinate day-to-day work, complete a variety of detailed tasks and assignments. Knowledge of Internet software, order processing system, data base and Microsoft Office software. Must be detail oriented and be able to function both independently and as a member of a close-knit team. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, protocols and experimental procedures. Ability to troubleshoot protocols and write detailed reports to ensure reproducibility. At a minimum ability to compute basic mathematical operations, i.e., rate, ratio, percent, molarity, and unit conversion. Ability to organize and perform precise, accurate, and reproducible work. Ability to speak effectively to present ideas and data analysis to supervisor and other researchers. Possess confidence to suggest changes to experiments and procedures when applicable. Ability to formulate new hypotheses, exchange ideas and aid in troubleshooting projects of co-workers in the same and other labs.  OMRF has mandated the COVID-19 vaccine for all employees, excluding those with an approved medical or religious accommodation, as a condition of employment.
