Description
Primary responsibilities include teaching mathematics classes at a level challenging for gifted high school students, including honors classes ranging from advanced algebra through differential equations and AP classes in calculus and statistics; teaching an interdisciplinary seminar or advising students; and serving on various committees. Course load and class scheduling follow a collegiate model.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in mathematics or related field with at least 18 graduate hours in mathematics; teaching experience at the secondary or collegiate level.
Authorization to work in the US Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate from an accredited college or university in mathematics or mathematics education with at least 18 graduate hours in mathematics; at least three years of successful teaching experience at the high school or college level; established record of scholarship expertise in the content area and/or the education of the academically gifted.
