Job DescriptionThe Columbia University Skin Disease Resource-Based Center (epiCURE) supports the translational research of healthy and diseased skin with specific interests in immune and inflammatory responses, photodamage, and the genetic and epigenetic mechanisms underlying epidermal development and tumorigenesis. Postdoctoral Research Scientist will use various preclinical models to study disease mechanisms, test new therapeutic approaches, and participate in ongoing alopecia studies.
designing and performing in vitro and in vivo studies, and data analysis; generating and maintaining human skin disease-specific mouse models; and preparing project reports and manuscripts.
PhD. in Biology, Physiology, Biochemistry, or related field. This work requires extensive experience in mouse manipulation/handling. Must be selfmotivated, meticulously organized, able to keep excellent laboratory notebooks. Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills needed. Ability to work independently and effectively complete tasks in a timely manner.
