Job DescriptionPosition Summary
The Physics Department at Indiana University Bloomington invites applications for a postdoctoral position in theoretical biological physics. Research activities span problems at the interface between physics and biology, ranging from molecular to macroscopic scales. These include evolution of higher order protein structure, physical principles underlying sensing and behavioral response by cellular regulatory networks, information processing by individual cells, and co-evolution and pattern formation in bacterial communities. There are opportunities for close collaboration with experimental groups in Physics, Biology and Chemistry at IU on these topics.
A Ph.D. in physics or a related field is required at time of appointment. The appointment can start as early as September 1, 2020. The position is for one year with an expectation of renewal for a second year assuming satisfactory performance.
